It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of our dear friend, Arline Macanas. Arline has been a long time and highly valued member of the Kea’au community. She was a primary founder of the annual Kea’au Lighted Christmas Parade, putting in countless hours since its inception to ensure that it would be a memorable community event each year. In addition, Arline organized and oversaw the annual Kea’au Idol contest and numerous family friendly events, while managing the Kea’au Village Market. Her charming and determined personality has been a great asset to the community and she will be missed by all of us who have known and worked with her over the years.
